Players may pitch a maximum of 1 inning or maximum pitch count, whichever comes first. No player should throw more than 39 pitches.
A player is required to play the defensive position of pitcher, even when a coach is used to pitch
Whenever a coach is used to pitch, the batter must either strike out or put the ball in play (no walks)

If a player pitches 39 pitches in a day, two (2) calendar days of rest must be observed

If a player pitches 1-20 pitches in a day, no (0) calendar rest is required
